2. Installation Installation of Cloaked e-Mail is straightforward, and you do not need to pre-configure any of the files, just follow the instructions below. The Zip file that you downloaded should have a folder called "cloaked_email", containing the files:
Please make sure that all of these files are present before continuing. (a) Upload the folder "cloaked_email" to your Web space. It isn't important where you upload the folder within your Web space, but make a note of its position so that you can access the files through your Web browser (there is no need to upload this file - installation.html or version history.txt). It is important that all of the files are uploaded in ASCII mode. You can set the upload mode in your FTP software. (b) Close your FTP program, open your browser and type in the address bar the location of the file "cloaked_email.php" on your server. You should see the Cloaked e-Mail configuration form. Complete all of the required details for your formatted e-mail, click on the "Configure Script" button and follow the on-screen instructions. (d) Leave the files in place on your server so that you can return at any time to create new cloaked e-Mail scripts. 3. Troubleshooting If nothing appears to work correctly, make sure that you uploaded all of the files in ASCII mode. If you find that the script that you created does not work as expected, make sure that you saved the script as a text file (.txt extension) and used a text editor such as Windows Notepad to add the script to your Web page.
